Uniforms
All Students in Junior Kindergarten - 7th grade are required to follow the Dress Code & Uniform Guidelines. Uniforms are optional for Little Disciples students
The purpose of the Acts Academy Ministries dress code and uniform policy is designed to promote Christian unity, ensuring that our students present themselves modestly and avoid socioeconomic distinctions. Uniforms aid in creating a safe and positive learning environment where distractions are minimized, and students feel a sense of belonging and pride in the ministry. In addition, we believe following a dress code teaches students valuable lessons about presenting themselves appropriately and adhering to guidelines, preparing them for success beyond their academic years.

Jumper dresses with a v-neck or tank top style sleeves may be worn with a short or a short or long sleeve shirt in an approved solid uniform color underneath. To maintain a consistent, professional, and practical appearance for all students, certain fabric materials are not permitted in our dress code. Specifically, fabrics such as lace, denim, corduroy, sheer or chiffon, velvet, eyelet, satin, tulle, leather, sequin, or embellished fabrics and others with similar texture or designs such as stripes or patterns are not allowed. Dresses must be modest and meet the fingertip guideline (see Cover Zone section in the FAQ section below).

- Footwear: Shoes should be close-toed and appropriate for P.E., recess, and running outside. Shoes do not need to follow uniform colors, but visible socks should be in uniform colors as the primary color (accents of other colors are allowed).
- Headwear: Hats are not permitted at any time throughout the day, including recess. The only exception to this rule is winter hats/ear muffs outside during recess, or unless specific permission is granted during theme, dress down or spirit days. Hair accessories (bows, headbands, barrettes) are approved.
- Cover Zone: The cover zone addresses length and modesty of clothing. No biker shorts or spandex shorts (unless worn under dress, skorts or shorts), short running/denim shorts, tank tops, sleeveless tees, or visible undergarments. The approved length of appropriateness with shorts, dresses, and skirts/skorts is no shorter than fingertip length. Fingertip length is measured by hanging your arms relaxed by your sides (no shrugged shoulders or curled fingers). When measuring, there should be no adjustment needed to meet the length requirements. If any skin is felt on the fingertips, the item is too short to wear in the building.
- Exclusion of Certain Fabrics: To maintain a consistent, professional, and practical appearance for all students, certain fabric materials are not permitted in our dress code. Specifically, fabrics such as lace, denim, corduroy, sheer or chiffon, velvet, eyelet, satin, tulle, leather, sequined, or embellished fabrics and others with similar textures or designs such as stripes or patterns are not allowed.
